Tumblelogging

|

Tonight I discovered the name for what I like so much here: Projectionist. It's a Tumblelog. As I predicted on Best Tool For the Job (my personal blog), I bet this trend will go crazy soon. Very cool.

TUAW Top 10

This is a list of my top 10 posts (semi-related to CMS's) onTUAW.

Installing Wikka on OS X - Now that you've chosen Wikka.. here's how to install it :)

TigerWiki - This is a Wiki specifically dedicated to Tiger. Having trouble getting one of the above Wiki's to install? Check here for tips.

Wordpress on OS X - This post links to a guide on how to install Wordpress natively on OS X.

Photo to Typepad - This (now open source) software lets you upload photos to Typepad from iPhoto.

Newton to Movable Type - Still have a Newton? Make good use of it publishing to your Movable Type blog!
Sidenote - Sidenote has to be one of the most useful pieces of software when you find something you need to remember but don't want to stop what you're doing. Check it out.

Nano - Ahh. The iPod nano. The inspiration behind this post...

No License Plates? - Steve Jobs doesn't need license plates? The benefits (or detriments, depending on how you look at it) of being a cultural icon.

Seashore (Native Gimp) - The Gimp, looking really nice on OS X.

Mint Web Statistics Software Now Available

Mint is a new web traffic log analyzer by Shaun Inman. If you're looking for an inexpensive ($30), extremely well designed way to see how many people are visiting your site and where they're coming from, check out Mint.

I haven't tried it yet, but I know that Shaun has been working on it for quite some time and that it's based on the very highly regarded ShortStat (which now appears to have disappeared).
